dog cage
Luv2no is in the house asked:

I’m trying to get my two Jack Russell Terriers trained to be put in a cage at night. They currently both sleep with me but I’m trying to break them of this habit. We have all been sleeping together for the past 2 yrs. I’m just tired of the dog hair in my bed!

I love my GSD! (and the BDG)

Put them in there when you go to bed and let them out in the morning when you get up. that’s what we do.

They should be able to make it through the night just fine. My dog is crate trained and she sleeps in her crate all night long with now problems. Just make sure you take them out to do there business before you go to bed and right when you wake up. Which I’m sure you do anyways.

yes just what Jenn n said, but you may need to put them outside your door. anyway they are going to whine most of the night but DO NOT let them in or they will do it again. you won’t get much sleep the first night but they should be fine the next, just make sure you take them out to do their business before you put them in, and take them out first thing in the morning

Shame on you see how man do his best friends….Not the cage it will make them feel they did bad…..Talk to them if they get on the bed during the day tell them to get down explain/show why.YES THAT’S RIGHT! Put something on the floor of yours for them to lay on at night/ tell them to lay there..once you start doing this don’t stop or forget,it’s going to be hard since their use to it even you will allow them at times for the same comfort they feel……..I miss my babbies so much I would welcome the hair they sleep in my bed more the me would get inbetween me and any man including my husband my youngest but the biggest was the worst he would wait till I fall asleep and get up there anyway while awoke they layed in theirs on nighttime mats.I had 2 commerical dogs 14/15yrs age took them….Patience/Communication is what you need…Good luck Ihope it’s as funny for you as it was for me…….Blessings Yahoo
