because you let her. if you don’t want this behavior to continue, once she chews on your shoes stop playing and don’t pay any attention to her. give her a sit command and place her in it if she doesn’t do it herself. every time she goes after your shoes stop the activity and withold attention. she will learn that chewing and attacking your shoes gets her no attention and will stop doing it. this is not a good behavior, there may be a time where she gets underfoot of an elderly person and can really hurt them. you need to stop this behavior. make sure when she’s doing something right, that you also praise her. she will learn what gets her attention and what doesn’t. don’t hit her or anything like that, that will only make it worse and could make her afraid of your hand. plus hitting your dog is still giving them attention. wether negative or positive, your dog doesn’t know the difference. be loving and firm with your wants and most of all be consistant. the result of this activity is always the same no matter what. that is the best way to teach any dog.

maybe you should give her a toy that she can chew so she doesn’t chew all your shoes. try different types of toys as some dogs are picky..

my pup tried it and i just gave him a stuffed animal and he gave up on my shoes. I told him no (chewing shoe) then gave him the stuffed animal and that solved my problem

Its normal but for more description dogs teeth and since this is a puppy I am not surprised but if it was grown then it would be because they just want to play and have fun

Well, most dogs do tend to chew on shoes. I’m actually not sure why, just something the chew on. All dogs, of all ages need to chew, it’s just normal. Just tell them ‘no!’ and take the shoes off of them. After a while your dog will learn that shoes are not toys, and will stop chewing on them. Our dogs learn early.

I guess there are a number of reasons, such as :
dogs love the smell of stinky feet and where better to get that smell but in shoes.
The rubbery soles on shoes are so perfect to chew on
Shoes are not too big or too small for their mouth
when they chew on your shoes you get really angry giving them more attention (dogs love attention, sometimes even bad)
